Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our actuarial team, you will be entrusted with diverse responsibilities that include:

• Risk Assessment: Understand the nature of specific risks and provide consequences analysis to management. You'll evaluate potential risks affecting our business operations and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.


• Rate Filing: Organize and analyze filing data, then prepare and submit necessary exhibits for regulatory filings. This involves ensuring compliance with state regulations and maintaining accuracy in all submitted documentation.


• Reserve Analysis: Analyze claim data and monitor reserve levels for adequacy while demonstrating understanding of actuarial reserving methods and issues. You'll work closely with our finance and claims teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting.


• Planning and Forecasting: Provide technical support and analysis for planning, pricing, and reporting processes. Your insights will directly influence business decisions and strategic planning initiatives.


• Pricing, Trend and Benefit Design: Develop and recommend pricing and trend analysis for products and benefits. You'll analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to optimize our product offerings.


• Technical Capability: Develop innovative technical solutions for various business challenges. Demonstrate proficiency with spreadsheets and knowledge of databases and online applications. Create and implement appropriate tools and models. Develop and document business requirements and specifications for processes, tools, and systems.
