Quadient supports businesses in their digital transformation journey, focusing on operational efficiency through automation processes. The Account Executive will manage and grow a portfolio of State and Local Government accounts, build relationships with key stakeholders, and present tailored solutions to meet government requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of State and Local Government accounts
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new opportunities within assigned SLED territories
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, decision‑makers, and influencers
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand agency goals, challenges, and funding timelines
  • Present tailored solutions that align with government requirements and budgets
  • Navigate public sector procurement processes, including RFPs and contracts (as applicable)
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting using CRM tools
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience

Skills

  • 1–5 years of sales experience, ideally in B2B, technology, or solutions‑based sales
  • Interest in or experience working with State and Local Government entities
  • Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion abilities
  • Exposure to CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Solid computer skills, including email and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • Industry experience in public sector or government sales is a plus but not required
