YouTube Thumbnail Designer (Adventure / Travel / Video Essay Style)

We’re looking for a talented thumbnail designer to help create high-CTR YouTube thumbnails for a growing channel focused on:

Travel & Adventure (urban exploration, cinematic locations)

Story-driven content

Video essays (history, philosophy, culture)

What we’re looking for:

Strong understanding of YouTube CTR psychology

Ability to design thumbnails that stand out in a crowded feed

Experience with:

Travel / cinematic content

Documentary or video essay style thumbnails

Knows how to balance:

Curiosity

Clarity

Aesthetic appeal

Style direction (IMPORTANT)

We are NOT looking for:

MrBeast-style thumbnails

Over-the-top faces / exaggerated reactions

Clickbait spam visuals

We ARE looking for:

Cinematic, artistic thumbnails

Clean composition

Strong visual storytelling

Subtle but compelling curiosity

Think:

“This looks like a movie I want to watch”

—not—

“This is screaming for attention”

Goal

Your thumbnails should:

Increase click-through rate (CTR)

Create intrigue at a glance

Match the tone and quality of the content

️ Deliverables

2–4 thumbnail variations per video

Fast turnaround (within 24–48 hours preferred)

Willingness to iterate based on performance
