Student, Junior Business Manager

Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is a federal Crown corporation dedicated to supporting Canadian agriculture and food. They are seeking a Junior Business Manager to assist in portfolio construction activities, develop presentations, and support governance discussions with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio construction activities across the portfolio lifecycle, including analysis, documentation, and ongoing monitoring
• Develop presentations and executive-level speaking notes to support governance discussions and senior leadership forums
• Assist in building and documenting portfolio construction and lifecycle management processes, frameworks, and tools
• Prepare summaries, briefing materials, and visualizations that translate complex portfolio concepts into clear insights
• Support ad hoc portfolio analysis and initiatives related to risk, growth, and strategic alignment
• Collaborate with partners across finance, risk, and business lines to support portfolio-related initiatives

Skills

• Enrolment in a degree program in business, finance, economics, commerce, analytics, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; experience developing presentations is an asset
• Interest in portfolio management, risk, strategy, or financial analysis
• Experience analyzing or synthesizing financial or operational data is an asset
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
• Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
• Analytical mindset with an interest in strategy, finance, and portfolio management
• Collaborative team player who is comfortable working with senior stakeholders
• Detail-oriented self-starter who is eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
