What You'll Do
As a Senior Financial Planning Systems Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for supporting and developing our Financial Planning Systems applications. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and optimizing our Hyperion Planning environment while serving as an internal consultant to various finance teams.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- System Support and Maintenance: Support the Hyperion Planning application for budget and actual financials on an ongoing basis, ensuring system reliability and data integrity.
- Data Validation and Analysis: Validate data from Hyperion Financial Management and from external regulators, investigating and resolving issues with data including divisional roll-ups and intercompany transactions.
- User Support and Training: Support clients with system issues, existing reports, forms, and models, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Financial Analysis: Assist with preparation of in-depth scenario and root cause analyses on various complex financial issues and competitive industry investigations.
- Process Coordination: Coordinate and complete monthly headcount processes related to Hyperion, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- System Updates and Integration: Update Hyperion Planning with organizational changes; coordinate hierarchy changes with Regulators and GL organization.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with working groups to determine reporting business requirements; propose and present efficient solutions.
- Development and Modeling: Create Essbase cubes, Planning Applications, Reports, as well as forecasting and planning models for Finance divisions.
What You'll Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent experience/training.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in a Finance role, including experience with financial statements as well as financial modeling and analysis.
- Technical Skills: Strong IT background, including experience with Oracle and multidimensional and relational database structures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience using Hyperion, as well as development and deployment experience including Intelligent Reporting, Essbase, and Planning.
- Previous experience in the airline, transportation, or large-scale enterprise environment.
- Understanding of financial planning cycles and corporate budget processes.
