About the Voice of Customer Program
Our Voice of the Customer (VoC) program is a cornerstone of arenaflex's commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. With over 5 million surveys received from clients each year across our Consumer, Business, and Service Provider divisions, our team manages a sophisticated end-to-end customer feedback system. This includes designing and programming customer experience surveys translated into more than 40 languages and deployed in over 20 countries globally.
As our Senior Data Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming and innovating this critical program, ensuring that customer voices are not only heard but leveraged to drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
What You'll Do
As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture that powers our Voice of Customer analytics platform. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in creating scalable solutions that handle massive volumes of customer feedback data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Development: Assist in the development and maintenance of our next-generation Voice of Customer platform, sourced from Cornerstone and integrated with our survey and dashboard infrastructure powered by Qualtrics.
- Business Requirements: Work closely with application teams to define, structure, and capture comprehensive business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Data Architecture: Design and build robust data model architectures that support optimal data processing and standardized metric definitions across the enterprise.
- Big Data Solutions: Enable big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions using transformational technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python to deliver innovative analytics capabilities.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and accuracy through intensive testing at variable and use case levels, implementing best practices for data validation and reconciliation.
- Performance Optimization: Provide guidance to enhance computational efficiency, optimizing data processing pipelines and reducing latency in analytics delivery.
- Story Development: Lead consumer story analysis and elaboration, design and develop software programs, and create automation tools that streamline data operations.
- Process Automation: Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce operational overhead.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization to prioritize, define, develop, and test data solutions for various use cases as part of the VoC end-to-end program.
What We're Looking For
We seeking a candidate who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is passionate about leveraging data to drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
Essential Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on development experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, and Shell Scripting languages with a minimum of 3+ years in data-driven projects.
- Agile Delivery: Familiarity with Agile methodologies of delivery, with experience working in incremental development environments where solutions are delivered at regular intervals to business stakeholders.
- Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work effectively with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical deliverables.
- Data Engineering Fundamentals: Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture, ETL processes, and data modeling principles.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex data issues efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms
- Knowledge of Cornerstone data platforms
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Understanding of customer experience measurement methodologies
- Experience with real-time streaming data processing
- Background in voice of customer programs or customer analytics
