About the Role: Remote Member Services Representative

This position is a vital part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team here at arenaflex. As a Member Services Representative, you'll be the frontline ambassador for our organization, handling everyday operations related to checking processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Your role is fundamental to ensuring that our members receive the exceptional service they deserve, and you'll be equipped with everything you need to excel in this dynamic environment.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Member Services Representative at arenaflex, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of financial operations and member service activities. Here's what you can expect to handle in this role:


  • Data Entry and Balancing: Complete comprehensive data entry tasks with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all financial records are accurately balanced and reconciled at the end of each business day.

  • Item Processing and Returns: Coordinate return items with members, external vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions in a professional and timely manner.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to resolve fraud cases, address member inquiries, and maintain accurate Accounting standard ledger balancing.

  • Case Management: Handle member cases and activities assigned to you, ensuring each member receives personalized attention and effective problem resolution.

  • Compliance Management: Follow and maintain strict adherence to all procedures and guidelines, ensuring full compliance with NACHA regulations and Federal Banking laws at all times.

  • Loan and Deposit Processing: Process loan payments, multi-account deposits, credit card payments, and various checks including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks with precision and efficiency.

  • Digital Banking Support: Review, analyze, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other image-enabled products to ensure seamless banking experiences for our members.

  • Account Management: Log, analyze, and make essential GL, account changes, and process returns as needed to maintain accurate financial records.

  • Payment Processing: Process Stop Pays and Check Batching efficiently, ensuring all member requests are handled promptly.

  • Daily Operations: Complete everyday balancing and department closing tasks to maintain operational excellence.

  • Wire Transfer Operations: Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic wire transfer requests.

  • Transfer Research: Research and verify incoming and outgoing wire transfer information, maintaining accuracy and security in all transactions.

  • Vendor Communication: Communicate effectively with vendors to process wire transfers and resolve any issues that may arise.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Handle check deposit returns, report member returned items on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing wire transfers, and verify and release wire transfers with the Federal Reserve.

  • Workflow Processing: Complete daily processing of workflows related to overdue returns, receipt delivery, foreign collections, and legal matters.

  • Security and Confidentiality: Ensure the security and confidentiality of all accounts and related information within your scope of work, maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial operations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work extended hours when needed to support business needs

Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous customer or member service experience in a financial services environment

  • Prior banking or Credit Union experience

  • Familiarity with Episys/Symitar systems and wire processing

  • Experience with international and domestic wire transfer operations

  • Knowledge of NACHA regulations and Federal Banking laws
