Position Overview
We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating detailed geographic information for assigned territories, designing computer-generated maps and reports, and providing essential administrative support to our regional dealmakers.
As a Junior GIS Analyst at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in helping our clients make informed real estate decisions. Your work will directly impact market strategy development and contribute to the success of retail operations across North America.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Mapping and Visualization: Design and create computer-generated maps, reports, tables, and charts for assigned regions using MapInfo software, as directed by regional dealmakers.
- Market Analysis Support: Process requests and inquiries directly from retail operations teams for market strategy guides and presentation materials.
- Data Research and Characterization: Perform various project-specific tasks, including comprehensive research and detailed characterization of geographic data as assigned.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to regional dealmakers by preparing accurate and timely cost reports, editing documents, scheduling travel, preparing visit books, and meeting other administrative requirements as needed.
- General Office Operations: Handle general office responsibilities, including answering incoming calls, greeting visitors, mail processing and sorting, ensuring all office equipment is functioning properly, maintaining computer systems, scheduling deliveries, and ordering office supplies.
- Collaboration: Work directly with regional dealmakers, retail representatives, and various vendors to ensure seamless operations and excellent service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- GIS Knowledge: A solid foundation in geographic information systems concepts and applications.
- Analytical Abilities: Knowledge of data analysis and statistics presentation, with the ability to interpret complex information and present it clearly.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and the complete Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
