About the Role
The Hardware Operations team at arenaflex is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the physical infrastructure that powers our powerful search technology and cloud platforms. As an Operations Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our data center operations.
In this position, you will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware components such as servers and their accessories, as well as server software running on Linux-based systems. You will also take on the configuration of more complex components including networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches, and various networking protocols.
Your daily responsibilities will involve manual movement and installation of racks, hardware deployment, and working with some of the most advanced computer technology in the industry. While the role can be physically demanding at times, you'll be excited to work with infrastructure that represents the pinnacle of modern computing technology.
What You'll Do
As a key member of our operations team, you will contribute to efforts and initiatives in the deployment, maintenance, and support of both cutting-edge and new data center infrastructure. Your technical expertise will be crucial in ensuring our systems operate flawlessly around the clock.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain server hardware and related components in our data center facilities
- Deploy and manage server software, including Linux-based cluster systems and operating environments
- Configure and maintain complex networking components including routers, hubs, bridges, switches, and load balancers
- Participate in complex troubleshooting sessions to resolve critical technical issues that impact system performance
- Test and troubleshoot new server and network hardware components and designs before full deployment
- Install and maintain switches, routers, and other large-scale networking equipment
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux operating system-related issues and optimizations
- Lead or participate in small project teams for large-scale installations and infrastructure upgrades
- Develop project contingency plans and contribute to disaster recovery initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to overcome technical challenges and improve operational efficiency
- Document configuration changes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting processes
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive maintenance measures
What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications
- Three years of experience in the upkeep and tracking of server systems, running systems, or networking protocols

- Strong understanding of server hardware components and their functions
- Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems and command-line interfaces
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure
