What You'll Do

As a Transportation Analytics Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for turning raw data into actionable insights that drive business value. Your work will directly influence operational efficiency, cost optimization, and strategic planning across the organization. Here is what you can expect:

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights: Work with large, complex, and disparate datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses that inform critical business decisions. You will create ETLs and processes that pull data from multiple sources and centralize it into unified, accessible formats for stakeholders.

Data Visualization: Develop impactful Tableau dashboards that quantify the effects of operational changes and highlight key business challenges. Your visualizations will empower leadership to understand performance metrics at a glance and make informed decisions quickly.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage regularly with team members and cross-functional groups to establish credibility and build strong working relationships. You will analyze stakeholder needs and partner with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across multiple systems.

Automation & Efficiency: Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate repetitive reporting tasks, including screenshot generation, metric prioritization, and outlier detection. Your automation efforts will improve efficiency and free up time for higher-value analysis.

Knowledge Sharing: Document your processes and share your expertise with peers. As you grow in your role, you will mentor colleagues and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in transportation analytics.

Business Operations Partnership: Apply your understanding of business operations to identify and root-cause complex business problems. A background in Supply Chain, preferably with transportation experience, will be highly valuable in this role.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

SQL Expertise (2-4 years): You must have excellent SQL skills with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity. You should be comfortable writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and ensuring accuracy in your analyses.

Data Visualization Skills (1-2 years): You should have creativity with a User Experience foundation to develop impactful Tableau dashboards. Experience designing intuitive, user-friendly visualizations that tell compelling stories with data is essential.

Business Operations Fluency: You need the ability to understand and diagnose business problems at their root. A background in Supply Chain, ideally with transportation experience, is strongly preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are critical. You must be able to work cross-functionally and translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, including dashboard design and optimization

Hands-on experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations

Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation and data processing

Familiarity with transportation logistics, supply chain management, or fleet operations
