Position Overview

The Lead Retail Customer Service Consultant is a key leadership position within our retail operations. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of all business areas within the store, including print services, signs and graphics, and shipping solutions. The successful candidate will consistently deliver a positive, professional customer experience while managing production processes, coordinating store activities, and providing guidance to team members.

As a Lead Consultant at arenaflex, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking specialized services. Your expertise will be crucial in recommending appropriate products and services, producing complex orders, and ensuring that all production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will utilize your consultative selling skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide tailored solutions that exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Excellence



  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, and expert service is delivered to all customers

  • Take customer orders with precision and provide accurate pricing information

  • Perform consultative selling to customers, recommending appropriate arenaflex products and services based on their needs

  • Track and log all production jobs to ensure accuracy and timeliness

  • Provide exceptional customer service by determining appropriate shipping methods and informing customers of company products, services, routes, and rates

  • Offer packaging services and provide information about company products and services to enhance the customer experience

  • Suggest appropriate shipping methods and maintain inventory of shipping supplies

Production Management



  • Manage production flow to ensure all production orders are completed correctly and on time

  • Take lead responsibility for digital imaging, scheduling, and running black and white or color production on full service orders

  • Handle finishing services and large job management with attention to detail

  • Set up complex orders and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality

  • Ensure quality control during and after the production process

  • Collate, sort, and organize customer orders for pickup and delivery

Shipping & Logistics



  • Provide secondary responsibility for coordination of all shipping-related services and activities

  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels

  • Coordinate pickup and delivery of customer orders

  • Ensure quality customer service is given to customers by providing packaging services

Leadership & Team Coordination



  • May provide leadership direction to team members on an assigned shift

  • Assist in the training of store team members to ensure consistent service quality

  • Ensure effective communication among shifts to maintain continuity of operations

  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions

  • Solve escalated customer issues with professionalism and efficiency

Financial Operations



  • Operate the Point of Sale terminal (POS) and handle financial transactions accurately

  • Make change and complete required financial paperwork

  • Assist with financial reporting including daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits

  • Maintain established business hours to support store operations

Compliance & Safety



  • Follow arenaflex standard operating procedures consistently

  • Adhere to legal, HR, safety, and security policies and procedures

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent education

  • Minimum of 2+ years of specialized experience in a related field

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and team members

Essential Functions

The Lead Retail Customer Service Consultant must be able to perform the following functions:


  • Stand during the entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods

  • Move and lift up to 55 pounds regularly

  • Bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis

  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members

  • Perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction

  • Function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure

  • Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time

  • Work with minimal supervision

  • Report regularly to work and maintain established business hours to support store operations

Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous leadership experience in a retail or customer service environment

  • Knowledge of printing equipment operation and maintenance

  • Experience with shipping and logistics services

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to handle escalated customer situations professionally
