Telence Solutions is a growing startup consulting firm that delivers engineering and technology solutions to clients across a range of industries. They are seeking a motivated Junior Engineer / Operations Associate to join their team, providing support in engineering consulting and business operations while gaining certification in networking.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured training program to achieve NRS II or CCIP certification within the first 12–18 months
- Support project teams with technical research, data collection, field observations, and report preparation
- Assist senior engineers and consultants on client engagements
- Manage scheduling, booking, and travel logistics for project teams
- Provide first-line IT administration support (hardware setup, account management, troubleshooting common issues)
- Conduct market research and compile information to support business development efforts
- Maintain internal documentation, filing systems, and project tracking tools
- Assist with general office administration and ad-hoc tasks as the business requires
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or a diploma in a relevant Science or Technology program
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a willingness to learn new tools quickly
- A proactive, 'go-getter' attitude with a genuine desire to learn and grow
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering
- Previous internship, co-op, or work experience in consulting, construction, or a technical environment
- Familiarity with basic IT systems (networking, cloud platforms, helpdesk processes)
