About the Role: IT Business Analyst – IT Offices

As an IT Business Analyst within arenaflex's IT Offices Group, you will play a pivotal role in providing IT administration of professional services, project management, and support to ensure the operational sustainability of the critical infrastructure that supports our airport communication spaces. Our IT Offices Group is responsible for a wide range of critical functions that directly impact our ability to serve passengers and maintain operational excellence. You'll be joining a team of dedicated professionals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of maintaining robust, reliable IT infrastructure in the aviation sector.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as an IT Business Analyst at arenaflex will include:


  • IT Administration and Support: Provide comprehensive IT administration of professional services, project management, and support to ensure the functional sustainability of critical infrastructure supporting airport communication spaces for arenaflex's IT Offices Group.
  • Site Implementation Management: Oversee all site executions, inventories, system planning, accompanying, preventive maintenance strategies, and break/fix services for data center critical infrastructure, IT certification labs, and remote communication room critical facility equipment.
  • Laboratory Support: Provide IT support for IT labs to align our client application and engineering teams with workstations, hardware, and access to test their applications effectively.
  • Remote Coordination: Coordinate remotely with professional services responsible for critical infrastructure maintenance and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage, operate, maintain, and monitor all critical facility infrastructure for data center and remote communication room equipment with precision and attention to detail.
  • Standards Development: Develop data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure to ensure consistency and reliability across all locations.
  • Network Integrity: Support IT Offices grounds fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the Atlanta airport and grounds facilities underground fiber ring, a critical component of our operational backbone.
  • Policy and Compliance: Recommend and implement departmental policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures while ensuring compliance with all governing corporate standards and regulations.
  • Capital Project Management: Manage data center and remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements from planning through execution.
  • Vendor Management: Select IT and critical facility services, ensure accurate documentation, obtain best prices for products and services, and ensure that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations.
  • Capacity Management: Manage space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity to ensure optimal performance and scalability of our infrastructure.
  • Design and Installation: Manage the design, implementation, and vendor support of the structured electrical power, HVAC, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling programs for communication rooms.
  • Incident Management: Provide proactive and break-fix support for alert/ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment.
  • System Sustainability: Ensure operational sustainability of airport critical environmental systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Remote Support: Provide remote incident management resolution for airport critical equipment and remote installation, configuration, and operational support as needed.
  • Change Control: Maintain strict adherence to change control activities to ensure system integrity and minimize risk.

What We're Looking For: Minimum Qualifications

To succeed in this role at arenaflex, you'll need to demonstrate:


  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective communication and relationships with supervisory teams, vendors, and peers.

  • In-depth knowledge of data center technology and critical facility infrastructure.

  • Proven experience in project management of remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements.

  • Capital forecasting and project management experience for airport critical equipment life cycle replacement.

  • Ability to support Corporate Land projects that involve remote communication room design/work as an IT Offices representative and on-site assessment reporting.

  • Strong skills in space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management.

  • Excellent vendor management capabilities, including documentation, cost optimization, and contract enforcement.

  • Experience managing the design, implementation, and vendor support of critical systems including electrical power, HVAC, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling.

  • Ability to provide proactive and reactive support for alerts and tickets related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment.

  • Capability to develop Design Guidelines for Remote Communication Room Space, UPS, HVAC, Generators, and Fire Life and Safety (FLS) systems.

  • Strong remote coordination skills for airport critical infrastructure maintenance and break-fix activities.

  • Attention to detail in reviewing and storing support records to ensure discrepancies are remediated.

  • Remote incident management skills for airport critical equipment resolution.

  • Excellent remote installation, configuration, and operational support capabilities.

  • Commitment to maintaining strict adherence to change control activities.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities within established time limitations.

  • Flexibility to support operations with varying shifts, extended hours, and open availability.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Consistent prioritization of safety and security for self, others, and personal data.

Preferred Qualifications: What Will Give You a Competitive Edge

While not required, the following qualifications will significantly enhance your candidacy:


  • IT Project Management Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in IT project management within a high-availability communication room and/or data center operating environment.

  • Operational Expertise: Hands-on experience with daily operational requirements and the operation of production systems and equipment.

  • Technical Certifications: Relevant certifications in data center infrastructure, facility management, or IT project management.

  • Aviation Industry Experience: Familiarity with the unique demands and regulations of the aviation industry.
