Position Overview

As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, representing the face and voice of our brand. In this role, you will provide friendly, helpful, and efficient service at our ticket counters, baggage service offices, and gate areas. Your ability to create warm, welcoming interactions will set the stage for our customers' entire travel experience.

This is a part-time position offering up to 8 hours per day with a competitive hourly rate of $21. Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our customer support team, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer satisfaction. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Ticket and Reservation Management: Handle ticketing, check-in, and boarding processes using our computerized retail point-of-sale system. Process reservations, issue boarding passes, and manage seat assignments.

  • Payment Processing: Accept various forms of payment including cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons. Calculate fares, make change accurately, and balance daily transactions while maintaining accountability for any overages or shortages.

  • Baggage Services: Check in passenger baggage, tag luggage, and assist with freight services. Handle inquiries regarding baggage allowances, overweight fees, and special handling requirements.

  • Information Provision: Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding fares, schedules, reservations, flight arrival/departure times, and general inquiries from customers and visitors.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally. Handle situations involving delayed, cancelled, or oversold flights, as well as lost, delayed, or damaged baggage.

  • Phone Support: Answer incoming phone calls to provide information to callers, page customers, resolve problems or complaints, and assist as needed.

  • Boarding Operations: Manage the boarding process efficiently to ensure on-time departures while maintaining a smooth and organized workflow.

  • Documentation: Complete required forms, reports, and documentation as directed by the company. Write anomaly and complaint reports as necessary.

  • Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines outlined in the Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Work Agreement.

  • Emergency Response: Remain aware of hazardous situations and be prepared to handle emergencies as they arise.

  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure the overall success of operations and maintain a positive work environment.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other job-related responsibilities as directed by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Must be able to communicate effectively over the phone, in person, and through public address systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet job requirements. Familiarity with computerized retail systems is a plus.

  • Training: Must successfully complete the Customer Service Specialist training program with a passing grade of 80% or higher, including completion of a required evaluation period.
  • Appearance: Must maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance in accordance with company standards.

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail environments.

  • Familiarity with airline or transportation industry operations.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting and cash handling procedures.
