The Opportunity

Join our Associated Media group as a Media Services Engineer and be part of the team responsible for delivering flawless AirPlay experiences across the arenaflex ecosystem. This role is integral to our Sound Media Technologies Group (AMT), which provides the audio and media foundation across all of our creative products, including smartphones, tablets, computers, smart TVs, smart speakers, and our premium audio device lineup.

Key Responsibilities

As a Media Services Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and commercialization of cutting-edge AirPlay features. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing client-facing applications and frameworks using C/C++ and Python programming languages


• Developing and maintaining the AirPlay software stack that powers our products and integrates with third-party devices


• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code with comprehensive unit testing and debugging


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end AirPlay features that seamlessly enhance the user experience


• Participating in the entire development lifecycle from concept through commercialization


• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across multiple product lines


• Working with modern networking protocols and concepts to build robust streaming services


• Contributing to API design and maintenance for media applications


• Developing applications for Linux-based products and embedded systems


• Creating innovative solutions for consumer media applications and platforms


• Engaging in creative problem-solving and critical thinking to overcome technical challenges


• Staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience


• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages


• Development Skills: Solid coding, unit testing, and debugging abilities


• Problem-Solving: Creative critical thinking and analytical skills to tackle complex challenges


• Experience: Background in consumer electronics, media players, smart TVs, or set-top box development

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following experience would be highly valued:

• Extensive experience with programming development in consumer media applications and platforms


• Strong background in API design and maintenance


• Experience building services involving modern networking protocols and concepts


• Background in application development for Linux-based products


• Knowledge of Node.js-based applications and service debugging

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation package that recognizes your skills, experience, and contributions. The base salary for this position ranges from $161,000 to $242,000 annually, depending on your qualifications, experience, and location.

Our total compensation package includes:
