Position Overview
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Data Analytics Sales Specialist to join our Cloud Data Analytics team in Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for driving data analytics engagement with new and existing accounts within the public sector, focusing on state and local government agencies as well as higher education institutions. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert for data analytics solutions, advocating for the transformative impact of our products and helping clients understand how they can leverage cloud-based data analytics to achieve their mission-critical objectives.

Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analytics Sales Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in expanding our data analytics footprint across public sector accounts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Account Development: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to ensure broad data analytics engagement across new arenaflex Cloud accounts. Identify opportunities for data analytics implementations and create tailored approaches for each client.
- Revenue Growth: Land new data analytics responsibilities in existing arenaflex Cloud accounts and accelerate data analytics usage for key accounts with growing data analytics spending. Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Executive Relationship Management: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with clients, serving as the trusted data analytics subject matter expert. Influence long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders.
- Business Development: Develop and refine business processes to succeed in accelerating solutions in a highly competitive environment. Stay ahead of market trends and identify emerging opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and technical specialists to grow the business with new data analytics clients and responsibilities.
- Thought Leadership: Translate business value into technology solutions at the executive level and serve as a thought leader in data analytics topics. Present at conferences, webinars, and client meetings.
- Pipeline Management: Effectively manage the sales pipeline from initial contact through contract closure, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely execution.
- Competitive Positioning: Articulate the unique value proposition of arenaflex data analytics solutions versus competitors and position our offerings strategically in the marketplace.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent practical experience. A degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in selling data analytics software or solutions. This must include experience in enterprise-level sales or consulting roles.
- Public Sector Expertise: Demonstrated experience in selling to or consulting for State and Local Government agencies and/or Higher Education institutions. Understanding of the unique procurement processes and stakeholder dynamics in the public sector is essential.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, particularly SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions. Ability to discuss technical concepts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to executive audiences.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
- Location: Ability to work remotely within Massachusetts, with willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend internal meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preferential consideration:
- Experience working with leading Business Intelligence platforms, data analytics middleware, or back-end data warehouse technologies.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies integrated into data solutions, including understanding of how machine learning can enhance analytics capabilities.
- Deep knowledge of cloud data analytics technology stacks, including Hadoop/Spark data lakes, SQL data warehouses, data streaming, ETL and data governance, Business Intelligence, predictive analytics, OLAP and data science frameworks.
- Experience with specific arenaflex Cloud products such as BigQuery and Looker is highly desirable.
- Ability to translate business value into technology solutions at the executive level and serve as a thought leader in data analytics topics.
- Existing relationships with decision-makers at state and local government agencies or higher education institutions in the Massachusetts area.
- Certifications in cloud computing or data analytics from recognized industry organizations.
