About the Role: What You'll Do
As a Patient Services Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in our pharmacy operations and patient care ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver outstanding customer support while handling various administrative and clinical-related tasks that ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Patient Enrollment & Data Management: Process new patient enrollments by accurately entering demographic and prescription information into our pharmacy management systems. You'll ensure all data is entered correctly while adhering to strict HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Prescription Processing: Handle patient medication requests within regulatory guidelines, including entering refill orders for processing. You'll investigate and obtain missing prescription information and interpret medical abbreviations and SIG codes to ensure accurate dispensing.
- Exception Resolution: Resolve data entry-related exceptions by thoroughly investigating issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions. Your attention to detail will help prevent errors that could impact patient care.
- Patient Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients through inbound calls, emails, and in-person inquiries. You'll also make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to coordinate care and resolve issues promptly.
- Third-Party Claims Resolution: Investigate and resolve rejected insurance claims and third-party rejections. This includes gathering necessary information, making amendments, and resubmitting claims according to specific payer requirements. You'll also contact insurers and other parties to obtain override approvals or resolve billing discrepancies.
- Pharmacist Support: Provide valuable assistance to our pharmacists, both in your assigned location and across other arenaflex locations. You'll identify issues and escalate them to senior staff members as appropriate, ensuring seamless operations.
- Compliance & Licensing: Obtain and maintain any required professional license or certification within the first 90 days of employment, and ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including the ability to start up and shut down computers, use a mouse effectively, navigate between programs, save and print documents, and access information online.
- Web Navigation: Fundamental web browsing skills, including opening browsers, entering URLs correctly, using search engines, bookmarking websites, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing online forms.
- Keyboard Proficiency: Moderate typing skills with a minimum speed of 25 words per minute (WPM), including the ability to type from memory and format documents professionally.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
Preferred Qualifications
