About the Role: IT Business Analyst – IT Offices Group
As an IT Business Analyst within our IT Offices Group, you will serve as the vital link between our technology teams and critical facility operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing IT administration of professional services, project management, and operational support that ensures the functional sustainability of the core infrastructure supporting our airport communication spaces and data center environments.
This position offers a unique blend of technical responsibility and strategic leadership. You'll be managing the delicate balance between maintaining existing infrastructure and implementing innovative improvements that keep arenaflex at the forefront of aviation technology.
What You'll Be Doing: Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing critical aspects of our IT infrastructure:
- Infrastructure Administration: Provide comprehensive IT administration of professional services, project management, and support to ensure the operational sustainability of critical infrastructure that supports our airport communication environments for the arenaflex IT Offices Group.
- Site Execution Management: Oversee all site implementations, inventory management, system planning, accompanying, preventive maintenance strategies, and break/fix services for data center critical infrastructure, IT certification labs, and remote communication room critical facility equipment.
- IT Laboratory Support: Provide IT support for laboratories to equip our client application and engineering teams with workstations, hardware, and access to test their applications effectively.
- Remote Coordination: Coordinate remotely with professional services responsible for critical infrastructure maintenance and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Facility Infrastructure Management: Manage the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all critical facility infrastructure for data center and remote communication room equipment, ensuring 24/7 reliability.
- Standards Development: Develop data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure that meet industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Network Integrity: Support the IT Offices grounds fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the airport and campus facilities underground fiber ring infrastructure.
- Policy Implementation: Recommend and implement departmental policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all governing corporate standards and guidelines, maintaining our reputation for excellence and regulatory adherence.
- Capital Project Management: Manage data center and remote communication room infrastructure capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancement projects from conception to completion.
- Vendor Management: Select IT and critical facility services, ensuring accurate documentation, securing best prices for products and services, and ensuring that vendors meet their contractual obligations.
- Capacity Management: Oversee space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management to ensure optimal performance and scalability of our infrastructure.
- Infrastructure Design: Manage the design, implementation, and vendor support of the critical electrical power, HVAC, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling programs for communication rooms.
- Incident Management: Provide proactive and break-fix support for alert and ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment.
- Remote Support: Offer remote incident management resolution for airport critical equipment and remote installation, configuration, and operational support.
- Change Control: Maintain strict adherence to change control activities to ensure stability and minimize risk across all infrastructure operations.
What We're Looking For: Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need a solid foundation in IT infrastructure and facility management:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Communication Skills: Ability to build and maintain effective communication and relationships with supervisory teams, vendors, and peers. You must articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of data center technology and critical facility infrastructure, including power systems, cooling solutions, and network infrastructure.
- Project Management: Experience with project management of remote communication room infrastructure capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Financial Planning: Capital forecasting and project management experience for airport critical equipment lifecycle replacement.
- Facilities Coordination: Experience supporting corporate real estate projects that involve remote communication room design and construction, including serving as an IT Offices representative and conducting on-site assessment reporting.
- Capacity Planning: Experience with space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management to ensure optimal infrastructure performance.
- Vendor Relations: Strong skills in selecting critical facility services, documenting requirements accurately, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring vendor accountability.
- Operational Support: Ability to provide proactive and reactive support for alert and ticket remediation across facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment.
- Infrastructure Design: Capability to develop design guidelines for remote communication room space, UPS, HVAC, generators, and Fire Life and Safety (FLS) systems.
- Multi-tasking Skills: Ability to balance multiple priorities within established time limitations while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
