Blue J is the leading generative AI solution for tax professionals, seeking a Business Development Representative to drive growth by identifying high-quality prospects and partnering with Sales to create new opportunities. The role involves conducting outreach to decision-makers in top accounting firms and managing the sales pipeline while receiving training and support for professional development.


Responsibilities

  • Conducting cold calls and emails to decision-makers at top accounting firms across North America — with occasional follow-up to conference and webinar registrants as a secondary focus
  • Attending trade shows and conventions as needed - virtually or in person
  • Effectively qualifying opportunities
  • Managing and maintaining your sales pipeline - moving prospects from lead to discovery to demo, while consistently capturing activity in our CRM (Salesforce) and other engagement tools
  • Maintaining LinkedIn presence, promoting marketing material and connecting with industry members
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly KPI goals created by your leadership team which will include meetings and demonstrations scheduled, and new pipeline created

Skills

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Toronto office
  • Experience in technology sales or transferable skills from a different industry
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Resilience and ability to handle rejection with a growth mindset
  • Driven to set ambitious goals and motivated to achieve them
  • Business acumen to discuss product differentiators and value propositions with senior decision makers
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to try out new sales techniques
