Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced technical professional with a strong understanding of big data lake environments who can work collaboratively with multiple technology teams to investigate platform and data quality issues. In this critical role, you will be responsible for identifying and remediating issues before they impact our products and services, ensuring seamless operations for our internal bank functions.
Additionally, you will take ownership of smaller projects aimed at improving our production support capabilities, including implementing new monitoring tools, establishing new operational procedures, and preparing for the launch of new products. Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Information Security Engineer at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities that will challenge your technical expertise and leadership abilities. Your primary duties will include:
- Lead Production Support Activities: Oversee production support activities for a suite of data analysis products used to support internal bank operations. Ensure system reliability, performance, and availability while maintaining service level agreements.
- Incident Management: Serve as a key contributor in the identification and triage of production incidents affecting our client data analysis platform. Lead rapid response efforts to minimize downtime and data integrity issues.
- Technical Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical challenges within big data environments that require in-depth assessment and creative solutions. Develop comprehensive remediation plans for identified issues.
- Research and Reporting: Lead research initiatives related to ongoing production challenges and prepare detailed reports presenting findings to internal stakeholders. Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Process Enhancement: Lead the development of new project processes and platform enhancements. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements across the team.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Act as the primary contact with inland teams and ensure effective communication and reporting of delivery from offshore teams. Foster strong working relationships across geographic boundaries.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including developing new strategies and identifying new opportunities for innovation within the data platform space.
- Performance Standards: Contribute to establishing performance standards for the team and ensure operations meet or exceed established performance metrics.
- Risk and Control: Direct the daily Risk and Control workflow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure success. Redesign and drive continuous support improvement.
- Team Leadership: Lead teams to meet deadlines and drive new initiatives. Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Change Management: Review, approve, and implement recommended changes to plans. Ensure all changes are properly documented and tested before deployment.
- Collaboration: Collaborate and consult with colleagues to resolve initiatives and achieve technology mandates. Work closely with architecture, development, and operations teams.
- Mentorship: Act as a mentor to peers, sharing knowledge and expertise to develop the overall capabilities of the team.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to work with complex data systems and understand data flow patterns across enterprise environments.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

- Technical Tool Proficiency: Experience with a combination of the following tools: HIVE, Pandas, Autosys, Grafana, and Splunk for data processing, scheduling, monitoring, and log analysis.
