Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Enterprise Customer Security Engineer to join our dynamic Microsoft Technologies practice. In this critical role, you will provide exceptional technical leadership and support to our premier customers across the globe. Your primary focus will be on optimizing and securing IT environments in a consultative manner, ensuring they remain healthy, resilient, and future-proof against evolving cyber threats.

As a key member of our professional services team, you will deliver strategic consulting, design, advisory services, and technical guidance that drive measurable improvements in our clients' security postures. Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Senior Enterprise Customer Security Engineer will encompass the following responsibilities:


  • Copilot for Security Development: Design, develop, and implement automated security solutions leveraging AI-driven insights to enhance threat detection, response capabilities, and security automation workflows. You will help clients maximize the value of Microsoft's Copilot for Security to transform their security operations center (SOC) activities.
  • Microsoft 365 Defender Management: Lead the comprehensive management, monitoring, and configuration of Microsoft 365 Defender suites to protect organizations against sophisticated threats across identities, endpoints, applications, email, and data. This includes implementing zero-trust security principles and advanced threat protection strategies.
  • Microsoft Entra ID Administration: Oversee the complete management and administration of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), ensuring secure access controls, identity protection, conditional access policies, and seamless authentication experiences across hybrid and cloud-only environments.
  • Microsoft Purview Information Protection: Architect and manage data protection strategies using Microsoft Purview, ensuring regulatory compliance while safeguarding sensitive information. This includes implementing data loss prevention (DLP) policies, information barriers, and records management solutions.
  • Microsoft 365 Security Implementation: Design and maintain comprehensive security measures across Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams, to protect organizational data and resources from evolving threats.
  • Security Advisory Services: Provide expert guidance on security best practices, perform comprehensive risk assessments, and develop strategic security roadmaps aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Migration Support: Lead and support migration projects from legacy security solutions to modern Microsoft security platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum security coverage during transitions.
  • Technical Support Delivery: Deliver both onsite and remote support services, troubleshooting complex security issues, and providing actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, understanding their business objectives and translating them into effective technical security solutions.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create detailed technical documentation, implementation guides, and best practice frameworks to enable customer self-sufficiency and team knowledge growth.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:


  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in information technology, with significant focus on cybersecurity and Microsoft enterprise technologies.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role specifically focused on Microsoft security technologies, demonstrating the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks, including zero-trust architecture, defense-in-depth strategies, and threat modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft security tools, including Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Familiarity with data protection and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities with the ability to analyze complex security scenarios and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach and the ability to build lasting professional relationships.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

Education & Certifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution; OR equivalent professional experience demonstrating equivalent technical competency.
  • Industry certifications are highly valued, including:

    • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)

    • Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)

    • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)

    • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400)

    • CompTIA Security+

    • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications

  • Base Salary: The base salary range for this position is $92,250 - $144,964, commensurate with work location, qualifications, skills, education, and experience.
