The Position: Senior Manager FP&A – eCommerce & Digital Technology

Are you ready to make your mark on the future of retail? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to serve as the primary financial resource for our rapidly growing eCommerce and Information Technology capabilities. This is a high-visibility role that will work directly with senior leadership and be a key contributor to strategic decisions in the digital space.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and analyzing our annual operating plan, ongoing financial forecasts, and five-year strategic plan. You will also develop tools and reports that provide actionable insights to the business, driving profitability and operational excellence across our digital channels.

What You'll Do

As the Senior Manager FP&A for eCommerce and Digital Technology, your days will be filled with meaningful work that directly impacts our organization's bottom line. Here's what you can expect:

• Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the creation of comprehensive financial plans for the eCommerce IT business in close collaboration with senior leaders, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives and growth targets.


• Financial Strategy Development: Assist in developing financial strategies, plans, and processes that improve profitability and drive cost efficiencies within the eCommerce IT capability, identifying opportunities for optimization and resource allocation.


• Performance Analysis: Work closely with the eCommerce IT team to consolidate plans and estimates while analyzing actual financial performance and emerging trends, providing actionable recommendations based on your findings.


• Digital Transformation Support: Serve as a key partner in developing and supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives as arenaflex transitions to a new agile operating model and rebalances its contractor and internal resource mix.


• Reporting Excellence: Implement enhanced tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms that improve forecast accuracy and identify growth and cost control opportunities across digital initiatives.


• Capital Planning: Drive the capital planning process by partnering with our Project Management Office and Finance teams, including approval and post-mortem analysis with the objective of optimizing financial resource allocation for digital and eCommerce investments.


• Financial Integration: Collaborate with eCommerce and Finance partners to integrate digital, eCommerce, and IT financial plans and estimates into the overall organizational financial framework.


• Ad Hoc Analysis: Lead special financial analysis projects as directed, with specific focus on digital, eCommerce, and IT finance-related topics that inform strategic decision-making.


• Team Leadership: Provide supervision and guidance to Financial Analyst(s) within the FP&A team, ensuring their work aligns with digital, eCommerce, and IT finance requirements and contributes to team success.

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 4 years of professional financial experience in a retail or consumer products organization is essential. This background will provide you with the industry context needed to excel in our fast-paced environment.
• Analytical Excellence: Advanced analytical skills combined with the ability to interpret findings, communicate effectively, and make data-driven recommendations that drive business results.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in advanced Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with SAP or Business Intelligence systems is highly beneficial.
• Business Acumen: A solid understanding of financial processes and internal controls, with the ability to apply this knowledge to complex business scenarios.
• Collaboration Skills: The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, building strong relationships across departments.
• Results Orientation: An inherent curiosity regarding managing operations and financial outcomes, combined with a powerful drive to see individual and organizational efforts lead to tangible results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a financial support role within a retail category management environment
• Previous experience with agile working models and technology support financials
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders through compelling financial analyses and strong interpersonal skills
• Experience building teams, processes, and models that deliver desired outcomes
• Prior FP&A experience in a digital, eCommerce, or technology-focused role
