What You'll Do
As a key member of our Business Analytics team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Design, develop, and maintain the core data infrastructure powering our enterprise modeling, including databases, data pipelines, and server environments
- Partner closely with our data scientists and analysts to design and build robust data pipelines required for advanced modeling and predictive analytics
- Collaborate with business analysts to create optimized SQL queries that enable scalable reporting with growing data volumes
- Coordinate with the IT Business Intelligence team to validate and deploy optimized queries with business logic to our upstream DataMart
- Build and maintain local ETL processes for our specialized data science models and ad-hoc reporting requirements
- Partner with the IT BI team to enable seamless data sharing workflows between our internal database and corporate data warehouse, as well as other local databases
- Think strategically about building scalable systems that can handle growing data volumes
- Identify process gaps and areas for optimization and automation across data workflows
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices documentation
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to data architecture standards
What You'll Bring
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in data architecture or a closely related field
- Technical Expertise: Mastery of relational databases, SQL, and ETL tools
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in building, deploying, and optimizing complex data pipelines (both batch and streaming)
- Database Knowledge: Deep understanding of data architecture best practices and normalization techniques
- Programming Skills: Solid experience with Unix/Shell scripting and Python development
- Big Data Technologies: Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, and other big data frameworks
