Department Overview

The Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team at arenaflex is the team that delivers transformative solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow our customers to focus on their critical missions, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support industry-leading products such as Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems, and Mobile Data Computing, among other comprehensive offerings.

Position Overview

As a Customer Education Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our public safety customers can effectively utilize our complex software solutions. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs that enable law enforcement agencies, emergency dispatch centers, and other public safety organizations to maximize the value of their technology investments.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching, loves technology, and wants to contribute to making communities safer. You'll work directly with end users and agency staff, transforming how they interact with our software and ultimately helping them protect the communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities


  • Training Delivery: Teach and instruct agency customers, end users, and staff on the use and operating methods of our complex software products and services. You'll be the face of arenaflex for many of our customers, helping them unlock the full potential of their technology investments.

  • On-Site Instruction: Conduct comprehensive on-site training for arenaflex software products and designated third-party software integrations. You'll travel extensively to customer locations across the United States, bringing hands-on training directly to the agencies we serve.

  • Training Methodology: Present training using a variety of classroom training methods, including interactive lectures, hands-on demonstrations with flip charts, online projection systems, and other visual aids to accommodate different learning styles.

  • Documentation: Complete all department-required reports within established standards, ensuring accurate tracking of training activities, customer feedback, and session outcomes.

  • Communication Coordination: Manage communication with customer contacts related to training schedules, ensuring seamless coordination between your team and agency stakeholders.

  • Information Management: Coordinate and manage customer (agency) information between trainers, maintaining clear lines of communication and ensuring continuity of training across multiple sessions and locations.

  • Team Collaboration: Operate under supervision from the Customer Education Lead, working collaboratively with other team members to share best practices and continuously improve our training programs.

  • Independent Execution: Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job while exercising good judgment and problem-solving skills in the field.

Travel Requirements

This role requires more than 75% extensive travel to customer site locations throughout the United States. You must be willing to travel regularly and be comfortable with a mobile work lifestyle. This position is open to all US States and can be performed remotely, with travel scheduled to meet customer needs.

Essential Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • 1+ years of experience working with arenaflex Flex products or similar public safety software solutions

  • Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

  • Experience with arenaflex Flex Administration is strongly preferred

  • Ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customers

  • This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by arenaflex customers

Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior experience in public safety software training or technical education

  • Strong background in teaching or instructional design

  • Familiarity with law enforcement or emergency services operations

  • Experience with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), Jail Management Systems, or Mobile Data Computing platforms

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to adapt training methods to different audience skill levels and learning styles

  • Experience working in a customer-facing role within the technology sector
