Due to our continued growth and success in building Location-based Solutions for our customers using Google Maps, Cloud, and Workspace technologies, we are seeking an experienced Senior Customer Engineer to join our Digital Innovations Team and support our Google Cloud practice.

About the Role

As a Senior Customer Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in introducing and reinforcing the Cloud-first, Cloud-native mindset to our customers. You will serve as both a technical subject matter expert and a creative advocate for customer-centric solutions, working directly with existing and prospective clients from initial intake through solution implementation.

This is a remote position open to candidates located in the United States (lower 48 states), offering you the flexibility to work from home while still being an integral part of our collaborative team.

What You'll Do

Our Senior Customer Engineers are the bridge between technical excellence and customer success. In this role, you will:

• Consult with new and existing customers on business and technical requirements, with a primary focus on Cloud solutions including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and hybrid Cloud environments.


• Provide pre and post sales expertise in one or more of our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) service offerings: Data & Analytics, AI & ML, Cloud Native Development & App Modernization, Migration, and Google Workspace.


• Design and scope solution architectures and Cloud spend resource usage estimates for customers. Deliverables include comprehensive solution diagrams, detailed implementation plans, accurate budgets, and professional services statements of work (SOW).


• Build or support rapid proof-of-concepts (POCs) and proof of value experiments using a variety of Google, third-party commercial, and open source tools.


• Write, refactor, and optimize new or existing solutions to create fast, easy-to-use, production applications that exceed customer expectations.


• Deploy software and solutions to cloud infrastructure in a repeatable, automated, and scalable way.


• Educate customers through direct product training and by influencing them towards modern CI/CD engineering habits and best practices.


• Conduct interactive troubleshooting sessions, recommending best practices and providing technical Q&A support to resolve complex challenges.


• Interface with Field Sales Representatives (FSRs), arenaflex subject matter experts (SMEs), and Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to design and build prototypes using Google products and services.


• Successfully deliver best-in-class platforms for our clients, affecting change throughout their enterprises from initial concept to production deployment.

How You Will Be Measured

Your success at arenaflex will be measured by your ability to complete the full customer engagement cycle: from (a) acquiring new customer business, through (b) implementation and deployment, and into (c) production delivery of maintainable solutions. When our customers are happy, they become loyal, repeat clients—and you will be instrumental in creating those lasting relationships.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in software engineering or a similar technical field.


• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade Cloud solutions in a virtualized environment such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or similar platforms.


• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C#, C, Python, Go, or modern JavaScript.


• Comfortable working on projects with a high degree of ambiguity—you can start with a blank canvas and create an elegant cloud-based solution from scratch.


• Strong communication skills—able to speak, write, or teach with expertise in multiple focus areas and demonstrate thought leadership.


• Ability to operate autonomously with little to no oversight while still being a collaborative team player.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

The following skills would make you an even stronger member of the arenaflex team:

• Relevant Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure certifications that demonstrate your cloud expertise.


• CI/CD deployment experience to Cloud and containerized environments.


• IoT or telemetry data ingestion and processing pipelines, including analytics or machine learning applications.


• Experience working in industries such as ride sharing, ride hailing, last mile delivery, or logistics—IoT and telemetry experience is particularly valuable in these sectors.


• Mobile web development and design using modern toolchains.


• Basic knowledge of Google Maps Platform (GMP) and its capabilities.
