Role Overview
As a Senior Account Supervisor within our RBS VSP Group, you will play a pivotal role in managing and growing vendor relationships for arenaflex's Retail US operations. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our vendor partners, helping them navigate the complexities of the retail landscape while driving mutual success. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance short-term vendor demands with long-term commercial objectives.
You will work directly with arenaflex's internal teams and external vendor partners to implement innovative strategies that accelerate growth, enhance operational efficiency, and create outstanding experiences for both vendors and end customers. This is a remote position offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Growth & Strategy Development
- Drive Business Performance: Take ownership of your portfolio's performance metrics and deliver against established KPIs. Your success will be measured by the tangible results you achieve for both arenaflex and our vendor partners.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of comprehensive business strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key input metrics that drive growth and improve the end-customer experience.
- Navigate Ambiguity: Demonstrate the ability to manage and deliver against complex goals where strategy may not be clearly defined. Make informed trade-offs between short-term vendor requests and long-term strategic investments.
- Identify Opportunities: Proactively recognize new opportunities across a diverse range of brands and categories. Develop and execute mission-critical plans that capitalize on these opportunities.
Relationship Management
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Construct and cultivate strong relationships with vendors in your portfolio, as well as internal stakeholders. Become a trusted consultant and passionate advocate for commercial success.
- Vendor Satisfaction: Analyze vendor feedback survey results to identify trends, both positive and negative. Develop improvement plans and manage expectations with account managers to ensure continuous enhancement of the vendor experience.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with internal and external teams to resolve challenges, address concerns, and drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
Operational Excellence
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage customer feedback, market growth trends, and key performance metrics to contribute to the strategic development of programs and initiatives that accelerate growth.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas of unnecessary complexity or inefficiencies. Develop and implement solutions that simplify operations and enhance the vendor experience working with arenaflex.
- Scale Best Practices: Identify, optimize, and scale improvements that benefit a large set of customers. Drive efficiencies through tools and procedures, simplify standard operating procedures (SOPs), and establish accountability mechanisms.
Business Development
- Expand Business Footprint: Focus on developing and growing our business with vendor partners. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities that add value to both parties.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of problems and opportunities affecting vendor businesses. Provide actionable insights that drive performance improvement.
- Negotiation Excellence: Utilize a wide range of negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes. Work across primary functional areas to drive overall performance of vendor partners.
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
- Analytical Skills: Proven experience analyzing data and best practices to evaluate performance drivers. Comfortable working with complex datasets to extract meaningful insights.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years in client-facing or seller-facing roles with a strong focus on relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to think critically and develop strategies that balance immediate needs with long-term objectives.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
