Royalty Analyst

The National Hockey League (NHL) is the premier professional ice hockey league in the world. They are seeking a Royalty Analyst to process royalty statements, review results, and communicate with licensees regarding reporting discrepancies.


Responsibilities

  • Processing statements in the royalty system
  • Reviewing royalties reported for assigned licensees
  • Analyzing revenue generated from royalty statement processing and the resulting receivable
  • Reviewing and applying cash received from licensees against outstanding receivables
  • Communicate with licensees regarding their royalty reporting, outstanding payments, and any related issues that arise
  • Assisting with the preparation of royalty reporting templates for licensees based on licensee’s contractual terms
  • Assist with testing new releases of the royalty system, as needed
  • Ad hoc special projects

Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and able to solve problems
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Take initiative and develop creative solutions to issues
  • Experience with consumer products licensing and RightsLogic's IP rights management software a plus
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree, Accounting or Finance degrees are a plus
