The California Department of Social Services is dedicated to serving, aiding, and protecting children and adults in ways that strengthen and preserve families. They are seeking a Research Data Analyst II to provide research and caseload data analysis in support of budget development and policy development related to welfare programs.


Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and utilizing research methodology and techniques in areas where precedents are lacking or a sparse body of knowledge in the area exists
  • Presenting findings to all levels of management as well as internal and external stakeholders, informing policy development

Skills

  • A Statement of Qualifications must be submitted along with your application in order to be considered for this position
  • Strong technical skills in research and data analysis
  • Experience in designing, developing, and utilizing research methodology and techniques
  • Ability to present findings to all levels of management as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Completion of employment history on the application form (STD 678)
  • Unofficial transcripts for verification if meeting minimum qualifications with education
  • Proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment if residing outside of California
  • Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 or the Electronic State Employment Application
