  • *Job Summary**

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Scientist to join our team of AI and predictive modeling experts. As a key member of our Information Science group, you'll work closely with our content, marketing, product, and engineering teams to develop and implement AI strategies that drive business growth and customer engagement. Your expertise in AI, machine learning, and statistical modeling will help us better understand our customers, predict their behavior, and create personalized experiences that exceed their expectations.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Support the streaming business with AI and predictive modeling focused on understanding and forecasting customer behavior, including churn, upgrade/downgrade, cost responsiveness, customer segmentation, survival analysis, A/B testing, and causal inference.
  • Develop and implement innovative AI strategies to address key business questions while identifying new areas to explore.
  • Drive experimentation to assess the impact of your models and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization to identify and capitalize on opportunities. You'll also work with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, data representation, experimentation, and data design.
  • Present your findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and statistical modeling, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and customer engagement.
  • *Essential Capabilities**
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Physics, Econometrics, or Statistics.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, building, and evaluating effective AI solutions.
  • Strong coding experience in one or more data programming languages like Python/R, with additional experience in scientific libraries like NumPy, Pandas, or similar libraries.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and creating ML models using Python (with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.).
  • Strong foundation in statistical modeling: regression, clustering, time series estimation, causal inference, and other methods.
  • Experience creating flexible numerical models and solving complex quantitative problems that can be understood by non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to extract insights and recommendations from data to inform model development and business decisions.
  • Willingness to collaborate with other data researchers, data analysts, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of SQL.
  • *Preferred Capabilities**
  • Postgraduate education in a quantitative field.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a high level of proficiency in data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to choose the right statistical tools given an analysis problem.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with shifting needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Ability to focus on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with data platforms and applications like Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Wind current, and GitHub.
  • Experience with designing and analyzing A/B testing and other experimentation types.
  • Experience thinking critically to interpret market and customer data, ideally about a subscription-based service.
  • Experience with distributed data technologies (Hive, Spark).
  • Experience with NLP and NN models.
