Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing ethical standards in biomedical and social science research. The Membership and Database Coordinator will coordinate membership services, recruit and retain members, and manage database-related tasks to support PRIM&R's mission.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates membership services and benefits in collaboration with other departments, such as the certificate program, regional connections program, mentoring program, dues discount program, etc
- Coordinates occasional member events such as Biomedical Research Awareness Day, Virtual Roundtables, and Member Appreciation Month programs/events
- Processes membership applications, renewals, upgrades, and transfers
- Responds to member inquiries via email and phone
- Coordinates quarterly Membership Committee charges and meetings
- Brainstorm and develop new member offerings alongside Assistant Director of Membership
- Builds live events and products for internal and external use
- Assists with training new staff, updates training materials, and answers staff technical questions
- Interfaces with database vendor to escalate issues
- Works closely with Senior Systems Administrator to troubleshoot and test
- Assists with general system upgrades and improvements
- Collaborates with marketing and communications (MarCom) team to develop annual membership marketing tactical plan and new collateral
- Builds and sends member and member benefit-related e-pubs as necessary
- Manages the production of Monthly PRIM&R Member Digest and writes membership-related pieces for PRIM&R Member Digest, website, social media, etc
- Develops membership recruitment and retention tactical plan
- Proofreads MarCom Membership marketing materials, and additional outputs across the organization
- Staffs PRIM&R conferences and coordinates special membership events such as young professional networking and on-site volunteer opportunities
- Assists with processing registration forms and responding to customer inquiries; often staffed at the help desk for in-person attendees
Skills
- 1–2 years of experience supporting and engaging members, customers, or stakeholders in a professional setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM/AMS database (Fonteva, Salesforce) required
- Exemplary customer service through email, phone, and in-person; ability to effectively train internal staff on complex procedures; collaborate across departments
- Detail-oriented; ability to successfully manage multiple tasks; project-management
