The Role: Account Manager - Third-Party Marketplace Development

As an Account Manager at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in expanding our third-party marketplace offerings in Brazil. This position is chartered with acquiring, developing, and managing high-value partnerships that enhance our product selection, competitive pricing, and overall customer experience. You'll be the face of arenaflex to potential sellers, guiding them through the onboarding process and helping them succeed in the digital marketplace.

Your primary focus will be identifying product selection gaps in the Brazilian market and executing go-to-market strategies that attract key marketplace players to join our platform. By recruiting high-quality sellers and helping them optimize their presence on our marketplace, you will significantly contribute to expanding our product catalog and growing our customer base.

Key Responsibilities


  • Market Intelligence & Analysis: Develop a thorough understanding of the Brazilian e-commerce market segment, including seasonality trends, market developments, and competitive activities. Continuously monitor competitor efforts and identify opportunities for arenaflex to differentiate and lead.

  • Seller Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and recruit high-potential sellers to our platform through direct sales outreach, industry events, conferences, and compelling presentations. Build a robust pipeline of qualified sellers who can enhance our marketplace offerings.

  • Seller Enablement & Success: Guide new sellers through onboarding by sharing best practices of online selling, including data-driven insights that help them achieve high standards of delivery, customer experience, and business objectives. Serve as their trusted advisor for growth.

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with and influence both internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve seller issues promptly. Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and product to ensure seller success.

  • Strategic Planning: Execute go-to-market strategies for new product categories and seller segments. Develop and present business cases for market expansion opportunities.

  • Performance Excellence: Meet and exceed sales and seller acquisition targets through consultative selling and solution-focused processes. Track key performance metrics and provide regular reports on progress.

Essential Qualifications


  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is required. We value academic achievement and the critical thinking skills it develops.

  • Sales Experience: Ideal applicants should possess 1 to 3 years of successful business-to-business sales experience, preferably in e-commerce, technology, retail, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries. However, we welcome candidates with equivalent experience and exceptional potential.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using consultative and solution-focused selling approaches. You should have a history of setting ambitious goals and consistently achieving them.

  • Market Entry Experience: Experience promoting nascent products or services into new markets is strongly preferred. We need someone who thrives on the challenge of building something from nothing.

  • Communication Skills: Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively. You must be comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels, from sellers to senior leadership.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office programs. You should be comfortable analyzing data, creating reports, and using technology to drive efficiency.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and remain effective when facing uncertainty. The e-commerce landscape evolves rapidly, and we need someone who can adapt quickly.

  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Preferred Qualifications


  • 2+ years of e-commerce experience is a strong plus. Understanding the unique dynamics of online retail will help you hit the ground running.

  • 3+ years of experience in the consumer electronics sector is a plus. This industry is particularly relevant for our marketplace expansion goals.

  • 3+ years of direct sales experience is a plus. Proven hunting and relationship-building skills are essential for this role.

  • Familiarity with the Brazilian e-commerce landscape and cultural nuances is highly valued.

  • Portuguese fluency (both written and verbal) is essential, with English proficiency being a significant advantage.
