Position Overview: Registered Behavior Technician
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in implementing individualized ABA therapy programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position involves working directly with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder in their homes, providing one-on-one therapy that addresses behavioral challenges, builds adaptive skills, and promotes overall development.
We expect all candidates to be available for a mid-to-late May start date. Key Responsibilities
As a Behavior Therapist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- One-on-One ABA Therapy: Provide individualized in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy sessions to children with autism, implementing intervention strategies tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Meticulously collect behavior and skill acquisition data during all therapy sessions to track client progress and inform treatment decisions.
- Discrete Trial Training: Conduct discrete trials using evidence-based teaching procedures to help clients acquire new skills in areas such as communication, social interaction, daily living, and academics.
- Behavior Support Implementation: Implement behavior support plans and treatment protocols established by the supervising BCBA to address challenging behaviors and promote positive outcomes.
- Collaboration with BCBA Supervisor: Work collaboratively with your assigned Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Supervisor to implement the basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy effectively.
- Client and Family Communication: Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining open and professional lines of communication at all times.
- Professionalism and Goal Orientation: Maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work, demonstrating a strong commitment to achieving client goals and upholding ethical standards.
- Session Preparation and Punctuality: Arrive on time and be fully prepared for all therapy sessions, ensuring a consistent and productive therapeutic environment.

Work Schedule and Location
This position is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and involves working in-client homes throughout the surrounding area. Most cases are scheduled during after-school hours to accommodate clients' academic schedules. Therefore, candidates must demonstrate flexibility in their availability and be willing to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts throughout the week.

arenaflex is committed to providing competitive compensation that reflects the importance and value of your work. The hourly pay rate for this position starts at $20.00 per hour and increases based on experience and qualifications. The expected salary range is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, with consideration given to candidates working toward a degree in a related field such as Psychology, Education, Sociology, or Human Services.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children in a one-on-one (1:1) setting is required.
- ABA Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is required.
- Alternative Experience: If you do not have direct ABA experience, we will consider one to two (1-2) years of experience in any of the following roles: Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Support Provider, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with clients, families, and team members.
- Transportation: Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle is required, as you will be traveling to client homes throughout the Chattanooga area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or eligible for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Previous experience implementing Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and related developmental conditions
- Familiarity with behavior intervention plans and positive behavior support strategies
- Experience working with diverse families and cultural backgrounds
Physical Requirements
This role requires physical engagement with clients, so candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Capability to perform activities involving fine and gross motor skills
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, and stand for extended periods
- Capacity to respond quickly in short distances (up to 100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
- Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Physical stamina to keep up with active children during therapy sessions
