What You'll Do

As a Senior Big Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our enterprise data infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Utility Teams: Work closely with cross-functional business units to understand, define, and capture commercial enterprise requirements. Translate complex business needs into technical specifications and scalable data solutions.
• Voice of Customer (VOC) Analytics: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Voice of the Customer methodologies. Leverage these insights to design and transform data within our cornerstone big data platform, ensuring actionable intelligence drives business decisions.
• Data Architecture Design: Design and implement robust data model architectures that support optimal data processing and standardized metric definitions. Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance across all data operations.
• Big Data Solutions Development: Build and deploy big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions using transformational technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python. Deliver innovative solutions that meet evolving business requirements.
• Data Quality Assurance: Ensure exceptional data quality and accuracy through intensive testing at variable and use case levels. Implement validation frameworks and monitoring systems to maintain data integrity.
• Performance Optimization: Provide recommendations to enhance system capabilities and drive efficiency in computing programs using our massive data ecosystem. Identify bottlenecks and implement strategic improvements.
• Consumer Tale Analysis: Lead consumer story analysis and elaboration, design and develop software programs, and create testing and build automation tools that streamline operations.
• Process Automation: Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality and operational efficiency. Reduce manual intervention through intelligent automation strategies.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work carefully with partners from various business units to prioritize, define, increase, and test data for various use cases as part of our end-to-end VOC technique.

Essential Qualifications

• Technical Experience: Hands-on development experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, and Shell Scripting languages. Proficiency in deployment management and troubleshooting for data-driven projects spanning at least 3+ years.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to actively collaborate with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical deliverables.
• Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile methodologies of delivery where small increments of a product are introduced at regular intervals to business groups. Ability to adapt to iterative development processes.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Multitasking Abilities: Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Typing Proficiency: Strong typing speed and accuracy for data entry and system navigation tasks.
