Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
As a Specialty Pharmacy Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in ensuring patients receive their medications safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Telephone Support: Provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering compassionate guidance throughout their treatment journey.
- New Patient Order Coordination: Handle the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and refill requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all transactions.
- Benefits Verification: Verify and revivify insurance benefits to confirm patient coverage and maximize their pharmacy benefits effectively.
- Prescription Management: Assist patients with translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Copay Coordination: Communicate professionally with patients regarding their copay amounts, explaining costs and facilitating payment processes with sensitivity and clarity.
- Authorization Processing: Obtain prior authorizations and work diligently with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to secure approvals for specialty medications.
- Issue Resolution: Screen, identify, resolve, and appropriately defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues, ensuring financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment.
- Insurance Collaboration: Interact effectively with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal partners to ensure timely processing of specialty medications.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that financial and clinical expectations are being met for every patient, maintaining the highest standards of care delivery.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following:
- Customer Service Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. You must demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively de-escalate situations while maintaining professionalism.
- Technical Proficiency: One (1) year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, internet navigation, and email applications. You should be comfortable learning new software systems quickly.
- Keyboard Proficiency: One (1) year of computer keyboarding experience with demonstrated skills and aptitude for efficient data entry. Accuracy and speed are essential for this role.
- Educational Requirement: Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
- Florida Residency: Must reside in the state of Florida and be within 75 miles of the Orlando, FL service center.
