About arenaflex IT
The Revenue Technology and Data Analytics IT team at arenaflex is responsible for driving technology solutions across multiple critical business functions, including Revenue Management and Accounting, Loyalty Programs, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Business Intelligence. As a member of this team, you won't just be making coffee or filing documents – you'll be actively contributing to projects that directly impact how millions of passengers travel around the world each year.

What You'll Do
As an IT Summer Student in the Revenue Technology and Data Analytics division, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that will challenge you and help you grow professionally. Depending on your assigned team and area of focus, your responsibilities may include:
- Software Development: Assist in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of software applications and infrastructure systems. You may work with cutting-edge technologies including Java/JEE, JSON, Spring, Angular, Python, C++ on Linux, REST APIs, XML, web services, HTML, Oracle databases, and emerging mobile technologies.
- Business Analysis: Help gather requirements for system improvements and new feature development. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis techniques to create performance dashboards and service level agreements. You'll learn how to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance for IT operations and projects, ensuring smooth implementation and troubleshooting of issues as they arise.
- Systems Engineering: Participate in the design and testing of decision support systems and collaboration tools that power arenaflex's operations.
- Agile/DevOps Practices: Gain experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps delivery models, including continuous integration and deployment practices.
You may be assigned to work in-person at our Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis St. Paul, MN locations, depending on team needs and project requirements. This is a full-time position requiring 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 2 years completed
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Degree emphasis in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Software Development, Systems/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analysis, Operations Research, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to embrace diverse perspectives, thinking styles, and backgrounds
- Commitment to maintaining safety and security for yourself, others, and sensitive information
- Interest in solving complex problems and willingness to invest the time and effort needed to overcome challenges and learn from mistakes
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Software Development Lifecycle, cloud computing, and/or computer hardware components and maintenance
- Comfortable working in a business casual dress code environment
- Interest in working for arenaflex after graduation if a full-time offer is extended
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Ability to process large amounts of data and information, and concisely explain what can be learned from the data and how it can support decision-making
- Eagerness to learn leadership techniques and best practices in problem-solving and conflict resolution to enable innovation and progress on challenging issues
- Passion for working with cloud computing technologies and innovations such as mobile applications, enterprise web applications, APIs, messaging systems, databases, big data, or artificial intelligence
- Previous internship or project experience in software development, data analysis, or business analysis
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript
- Understanding of database concepts and SQL
- Experience with data visualization tools
