Position Overview

This is a fully remote position that offers the best of both worlds—the comfort of working from home combined with periodic in-person gatherings for training, meetings, and team collaboration. While the majority of your work will be conducted remotely, please note that occasional travel to our corporate location may be required for essential team events and training sessions.

Important Notice: At this time, we can only consider candidates who are authorized to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide work authorization sponsorship for this position.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional experiences to customers and drive business success. Here's what you can expect:

  • Design and Implementation: Assemble large, complex datasets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements. You'll be responsible for creating robust data architectures that can scale with our growing needs.
  • Process Optimization: Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements that enhance scalability and efficiency. This includes redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes that slow down our operations.
  • Infrastructure Development: Build the required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using AWS and SQL technologies. You'll ensure data integrity and availability across the organization.
  • Analytics and Insights: Develop analytical tools that leverage our data pipeline to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics, including operational efficiency and customer acquisition patterns.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with data, design, product, and executive teams to support their data infrastructure needs. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping stakeholders navigate data-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Innovation and Problem-Solving: Generate or adapt devices and technology solutions to serve evolving business needs. You'll apply creative thinking to address complex problems that require in-depth analysis of multiple factors.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and contribute to functional project teams while participating in cross-functional initiatives. You'll provide guidance and direction for process improvements, including helping establish and advocate for best practices.
  • Vendor Management: Work with external vendors to provide effective solutions and insights. You'll leverage your technical expertise to ensure successful collaboration with outside partners.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. You'll apply independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best approach for your work.
