  • *Job Summary**

As a Data Entry Clerk in our Purchasing Department, you will be responsible for:

  • Communicating effectively and efficiently with employees, field personnel, managers, and vendors to ensure timely ordering and delivery of supplies.
  • Reviewing and processing purchase orders according to company policy and procedure, as well as adhering to individual customer policy.
  • Maintaining detailed and organized records of processed orders and communication with customers, including database, Excel sheets, and manual filing.
  • Working with facilities regarding supply orders and contacting vendors to schedule deliveries, resolve item discrepancies, and return of items.
  • Scanning and filing completed purchase orders and consulting with managers if quantity is questioned or seems unnecessary.
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable department when needed.
  • *Responsibilities**
  • Process purchase orders according to company policy and procedure, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, field personnel, managers, and vendors to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of processed orders and communication with customers, including database, Excel sheets, and manual filing.
  • Work closely with facilities to ensure smooth supply ordering and delivery processes.
  • Contact vendors to schedule deliveries, resolve item discrepancies, and return of items.
  • Scan and file completed purchase orders and consult with managers if quantity is questioned or seems unnecessary.
  • Support the Accounts Payable department as needed.
  • *Requirements**
  • High school diploma; Associate's degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Strong data entry skills and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Great Plains, and Windows operating system.
  • Ability to adhere to ordering schedules and policies.
  • Excellent customer service mindset and ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in data entry, purchasing, or accounts payable.
