Position Overview
arenaflex is currently seeking a talented and motivated Remote Patient Services Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of communication for patients regarding their billing inquiries, providing exceptional customer service while supporting our physician billing operations for multiple healthcare clients. Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Services Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in maintaining our commitment to patient satisfaction and operational excellence. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Patient Call Management: Handle a large volume of incoming patient calls related to physician billing inquiries, ensuring each interaction meets our quality standards for customer service and patient satisfaction. You will answer calls within the guidelines of our call center metric objectives, striving to provide timely and accurate responses to every patient.
- Issue Resolution: Follow up on all issues that cannot be resolved during the initial conversation with the patient or guarantor. You will ensure that every patient concern is addressed comprehensively and in a timely manner, documenting all interactions and escalations as needed.
- HIPAA Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance guidelines and other regulatory requirements. You will handle sensitive and confidential patient information with the highest level of discretion, ensuring privacy and security in all communications.
- Professional Communication: Serve as the primary source of communication for patients' billing inquiries, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism in every interaction. You must effectively assist patients with sensitive and confidential issues while understanding our obligation to our clients to collect outstanding patient balances.
- Multitasking and Prioritization: Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while setting appropriate priorities. You will manage competing demands effectively, ensuring that all patient inquiries are addressed efficiently and accurately.
- Schedule Adherence: Adhere to your work schedule and follow all call center phone procedures. You must be reliable and punctual, maintaining consistent availability during your scheduled shift.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all patient interactions, including billing inquiries, issue resolution, and follow-up actions. This documentation is essential for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Additional Duties: Complete other related customer service duties as assigned by your supervisor. You must be flexible and willing to take on new responsibilities as the needs of the organization evolve.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in a medical customer service role is preferred. Previous experience in a call center environment is also highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required. You must be comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and word processing software to perform your job duties effectively.
- Medical Billing Knowledge: Previous experience with medical billing systems is required. Experience with GE Centricity or EPIC is a plus but not required for qualified candidates.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation
- Hourly Pay: $13.40 - $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Signing Bonus: A signing bonus may be available for qualified new hires, subject to employment status.
- Holiday Pay: arenaflex observed holidays receive time and a half pay.
