Position Overview

Are you ready to take your travel industry career to the next level? Join arenaflex as a Business Development Manager and become an integral part of our Sales and Business Development team. In this role, you'll be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with travel agency accounts, driving revenue growth, and contributing to the overall success of our vacation business.

This is a remote/virtual position based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota area, offering the flexibility of working from home while maintaining meaningful connections with our corporate team and client accounts. You'll report directly to the Midwest Regional Project Manager, Business Development and Sales, and collaborate closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and our Customer Engagement Center.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

In this pivotal role, you'll be the face of arenaflex to our valued travel agency partners. Your primary objective will be to establish, develop, and maintain business relationships while increasing market share with assigned travel agency accounts through the promotion and sale of arenaflex vacation packages and services.

Your core responsibilities include:


  • Relationship Management: Build, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with assigned travel agency accounts. Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic partners, ensuring exceptional service and consistent communication.
  • Business Development: Identify, prospect, evaluate, and initiate new travel agency business opportunities that support company growth objectives. Proactively seek out new partnership opportunities and expand our network of travel professionals.
  • Sales Engagement: Conduct sales calls with appropriate agency contacts to deliver arenaflex product and service updates, discuss sales opportunities, review performance against goals, and strengthen partnerships.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Propose and execute partnership arrangements that ensure mutual benefit and profitability for arenaflex. Present and negotiate back-end commission arrangements when appropriate.
  • Marketing Execution: Develop and deliver strategic business development plans, including marketing and cooperative advertising initiatives for identified key accounts. Create compelling proposals that drive engagement and revenue.
  • Territory Management: Implement effective time and territory management plans for assigned agency accounts, optimizing coverage and maximizing business development opportunities.
  • Performance Analysis: Evaluate clients' business needs, assess performance against objectives, and develop strategic proposals for growth toward achieving plan goals. Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and our Customer Engagement Center to achieve maximum revenue and net promoter scores.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Two years of travel industry sales experience is required

  • Strong verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong mathematical capability and comfort with data analysis

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

  • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security for self, others, and confidential information

  • Embraces diverse perspectives, thinking styles, and backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications (What Gives You a Competitive Edge):


  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (or equivalent work experience)

  • Knowledge of arenaflex programs, policies, procedures, and reservation systems

  • Strong analytical skills—able to define issues, gather data, establish facts, and reach logical conclusions accurately and timely

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results concurrently

  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making abilities

Work Environment & Schedule

This full-time position offers the flexibility of a virtual/remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home office while staying connected with your team and clients.


  • Position Type: Full-Time

  • Standard Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Flexibility: Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand

  • Travel: Domestic and international travel may be required to fulfill assigned responsibilities and meet with key accounts
