Position Overview: Entry-Level Pharmacist

As an Entry-Level Pharmacist at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant dispensing of medications. Key Responsibilities

Patient Experience and Engagement



  • Greet patients warmly and offer friendly, knowledgeable assistance with their pharmacy needs and questions

  • Resolve patient concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive and satisfying experience

  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, including welcoming demeanor, appropriate eye contact, and genuine courtesy

  • Proactively anticipate patient needs and offer additional services such as medication counseling, therapy reviews, and health consultations

  • Raise awareness about healthcare services available through arenaflex, including patient consultations, medication management, immunization services, and diagnostic testing

  • Participate in community events and outreach programs as directed by pharmacy leadership to strengthen our connection with the communities we serve

Pharmacy Operations and Medication Management



  • Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, drug interactions, contraindications, and generic alternatives

  • Refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers when necessary to ensure safe and effective medication therapy

  • Perform pharmacist duties including medication compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and comprehensive medication management

  • Accurately interpret and dispense prescribed medications in accordance with state regulations and company policies

  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as arenaflex standards and procedures

  • Support the pharmacy manager in establishing workflows that promote efficiency, including role assignment, activity scheduling, and process improvement

  • Maintain compliance with controlled substance regulations and follow all elements of the good faith dispensing policy

  • Stay current with pharmacy technology systems, including workflow management, prescription fulfillment, billing, clinical documentation, inventory control, and point-of-sale operations

  • Process insurance claims accurately to prevent claim denials and resolve patient billing issues

  • Follow up with clinical providers to clarify prescription details, dosage adjustments, refill requests, drug interactions, and allergies

  • Participate in clinical and wellness services such as vaccinations, diagnostic testing, disease state management, and other healthcare offerings

Business Operations and Inventory Management



  • Support the pharmacy manager in analyzing performance metrics, including financial data, customer service indicators, and policy compliance

  • Assist with inventory management and pharmacy asset protection initiatives

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals

  • Engage in community outreach activities to promote pharmacy services and enhance public health awareness

  • Collaborate with centralized support teams for patient enrollment, exception resolution, and issue escalations

Team Leadership and Development



  • Support the Pharmacy Manager with staff hiring and training processes

  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy team members through coaching, constructive feedback, and performance monitoring

  • Promote teamwork and collaboration by establishing clear expectations, recognizing achievements, and fostering a positive shared vision

  • Maintain current knowledge of licensing, credentialing, and certification requirements as mandated by federal and state regulations

  • Seek ongoing professional development by requesting constructive feedback, monitoring your own performance, and leveraging your pharmacy manager as a mentor

Qualifications

Essential Requirements



  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited educational institution

  • Current, valid pharmacist licensure in the state(s) within the assigned region

  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal controlled substance regulations through previous prescription dispensing experience

  • Certification as an Immunizer or willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy information systems

Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, regulatory compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software systems, and insurance processing

  • Experience with clinical services such as immunizations, health screenings, or disease state management

  • Familiarity with medication therapy management (MTM) programs
