This is a unique opportunity to shape how data drives decision-making across the entire content lifecycle—from initial pitch to global release.

You'll be the guardian of deal information—the critical data points that power negotiations, partnerships, and content acquisition strategies that bring world-class entertainment to millions of subscribers worldwide.

About the Role

In this pivotal position, you'll focus on information associated with the offers arenaflex makes with talent and production groups for the content we deliver to our subscribers. Deal data is used throughout studio operations, from pitch to play, and it's absolutely vital that this statistics is accurate, complete, and interconnected. You'll help define, analyze, and document data quality requirements to meet business needs, devise and socialize best practices, and create and execute methods to monitor and address data efficiently.

You'll work closely with product squads on initiatives related to product development while simultaneously guiding improvements to foundational data health. This role offers the chance to be a strategic partner across multiple departments, influencing how data flows through our organization and ultimately impacts the content decisions that shape entertainment history.

Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Data Leadership: Provide near-term and long-term thinking for deal data needs across the studio, including data quality and data education. Create quarterly goals to meet near and long-term business targets and lead execution of roadmap initiatives.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary data entity subject matter expert throughout the studio, consulting with product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders on all work related to deal data and content agreements.

  • Metrics Development: Work with product management, product Data Science Engineering (DSE), and other partners to define, create, analyze, and document metrics that provide visibility into diverse dimensions of data quality and operational efficiency.

  • Process Scaling: Independently define and implement strategies to scale data quality work efficiently across multiple content verticals and business units.

  • Project Leadership: Lead data quality initiatives to support product development and to enhance foundational data health, developing detailed plans that identify business impact, timelines, and risks while executing with precision.

  • Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder requests and drive stakeholder alignment across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical implementations.

  • User Support: Act as an escalation point for responding to users' data-related support requests, providing expert guidance and resolution.

  • Process Improvement: Partner with business teams to create and implement more efficient processes, quality data practices, and comprehensive educational documentation.

Required Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who bring a proven track record of managing complex data ecosystems and who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate will combine technical acumen with business savvy and exceptional communication skills.


  • Extensive Experience: 6+ years of experience operating in data management with databases and/or content management systems, demonstrating progression in responsibility and scope.

  • Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical talents and an ability to synthesize information across a large ecosystem to diagnose complex issues and devise effective, scalable solutions.

  • Process Orientation: Strong expertise in workflow optimization and the ability to recognize inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement across operational processes.

  • Entertainment Industry Knowledge: General understanding of the pitch-to-play lifecycle of content, including production, distribution, and licensing workflows.

  • Data Governance Expertise: Knowledge of data lifecycle and data governance concepts, including data lineage, metadata management, and compliance requirements.

  • Project Management Mastery: Excellent time-management and project management skills with the ability to manage timelines for multiple concurrent initiatives across different stakeholders.

  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with empathy and clarity to both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting messaging to suit diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Adaptability: Flexible in an evolving environment, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to pivot between deep-focus execution and collaborative problem-solving.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Google Suite and spreadsheet-based packages (e.g., Excel, Airtable), with demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and present data effectively.

  • Technical Database Skills: Experience with SQL and database query languages, with the ability to write complex queries, understand data structures, and perform data validation.

  • Operational Background: Experience in legal operations or studio operations, with familiarity of entertainment industry workflows and contract management processes.

  • Industry Expertise: Experience working at a studio, distributor, film sales company, production company, agency, management corporation, or other entertainment operation, bringing context for how deal data flows through the industry.

Compensation & Benefits
