Deutsche Bank is a key player in global banking, and they are seeking an Associate Engineer to support applications and platforms for liquidity and regulatory reporting processes. This role involves ensuring reliable system operations, managing incident resolutions, and maintaining operational stability within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles and Automation first mindset with a focus on reliability and service improvement
- Experience in controlled production environments with strong knowledge of ITIL practices, global service operations, and financial technology domain or client facing support functions
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving skills and Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing and alternating priorities (with a constant focus on delivery)
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships, mentor and train individuals, transfer knowledge, and demonstrate thought leadership
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience, with strong troubleshooting, and collaboration in a mixed team
- Strong hands-on experience Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle PL SQL, Unix/Linux, Shell script and debugging across infrastructure components and cloud technologies (GCP preferred)
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ansible for automation of various manual tasks
- Hands on background in Site Reliability Engineering, including building SLI/SLOs, and working with monitoring and scheduling tools such as Geneos, Splunk, Grafana, and Control M, as well as ticketing tool like service now
- Ability to leverage or understand the potential of AI and Large Language Models in production environment is a plus
