Energy Market Analyst

Enersponse is a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Management company that connects grid operators and utilities with power consumers. The Energy Market Analyst role involves managing utility, ISO, and third-party reporting requirements, conducting data analysis, and supporting market operations to optimize load management and decarbonize energy.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of utility, ISO, and 3rd Party reporting requirements
• Assist in preparing and submitting reports to utilities, ISOs, and third-party partners
• Review data for accuracy and completeness; flag inconsistencies or missing information
• Maintain organized records of reporting requirements, deadlines, and submissions
• Support ongoing data tracking and validation efforts
• Help coordinate with utilities, ISOs, and internal teams to gather required information
• Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
• Assist in monitoring program performance and basic data trends
• Support Account Managers by helping maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data
• Identify opportunities for best practice adoption
• Where applicable, develop new processes that will ensure maximum customer load utilization and revenue in various markets

Skills

• 0–2 years of experience in energy, data analysis, or a related field (internships included)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis and reporting tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience in a fast-paced or startup environment
• Resides in Western NY or Denver CO
• Bachelor's degree preferred; but Associate's or 2-years advance schooling acceptable
• 2+ years' experience working within the energy industry
