[Remote] Quality Engineer I

As a Quality Engineer I, you will support quality assurance processes and collaborate with teams to uphold quality standards, ensuring high-quality products for customers.

Responsibilities

• Support the quality assurance processes by conducting product and process audits to identify areas for improvement
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance product quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and metrics that align with organizational objectives
• Participate in internal and external quality audits
• Management of nonconforming materials and prepares evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, makes recommendations for and initiates the most cost-effective
• Interface with supplier quality, customer quality and other teams in finding resolution to concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective actions are implemented

Skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
• Minimum 1 year of experience in quality engineering or related roles
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry
• Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP secret security clearance
• Advanced engineering degrees such as ME (Mechanical Engineering) or EE (Electrical Engineering)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standard
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100D quality management system standard
• Certified internal auditor for ISO 2001:2015 and/or AS9100 quality management system standard – a plus
• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing environment, processes and systems
