Position Overview
As an After School Dance Instructor at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the artistic experiences of young dancers in our community. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering engaging dance lessons that introduce children to various dance styles, techniques, and choreography. Your sessions will focus on beginner-level instruction, ensuring that all students feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn.
This is a part-time position with hours from Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, during the school year. Key Responsibilities
As a Dance Instructor with arenaflex, you will be entrusted with several important responsibilities that contribute to the success of our after-school program and the development of our young dancers:
- Lesson Planning and Instruction: Design and implement weekly dance lesson plans that are age-appropriate, engaging, and aligned with the skill levels of students aged 5-12. Lessons should incorporate a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, and creative movement, while focusing on building foundational techniques.
- Recreational Dance Programming: Lead recreational dance sessions that encourage participation, creativity, and fun. This includes teaching choreography for school performances, community events, and end-of-session showcases.
- Classroom Environment: Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive class environment where all students feel safe, respected, and motivated to participate. Foster a culture of encouragement and positivity that allows children to express themselves freely.
