Position Overview
The Director of Data Analytics is a senior leadership role responsible for coordinating and overseeing all analytical activities within our organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership capabilities who can effectively manage cross-functional teams, build strong internal and external relationships, and drive initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.
As the Director of Data Analytics at arenaflex, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining our analytics infrastructure, developing strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives, and ensuring that data-driven insights inform key organizational decisions. You'll work closely with senior management to define analytics priorities and will be accountable for achieving financial, operational, and quality goals within your area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of the arenaflex leadership team, the Director of Data Analytics will:
- Lead Strategic Analytics Initiatives: Design and implement comprehensive analytics strategies that align with arenaflex's business objectives and drive sustainable growth across all functional areas.
- Build Analytics Frameworks: Establish robust processes, methodologies, and frameworks for approaching complex analytical challenges, leveraging both existing resources and innovative new approaches.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with stakeholders across all departments to translate business needs into actionable analytical solutions and develop strategic roadmaps for execution.
- Executive Advisory: Advise senior leadership on analytical insights, market trends, and strategic opportunities. Present complex data findings in clear, executive-ready formats.
- Team Leadership & Development: Direct and develop high-performing analytics teams, including managers, senior analysts, and their direct reports. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Strategic Planning: Develop short-term and long-range strategic plans, establishing measurable goals and key performance indicators for the analytics function.
- Budget Management: Oversee budget development for the analytics department and ensure resource allocation aligns with business priorities and financial targets.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze performance drivers, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.
- Vendor & External Relations: Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and partners to enhance analytical capabilities and maintain strategic alliances.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive landscape, analyze industry trends, and provide recommendations for strategic and operational adjustments based on market intelligence.
- Communication Excellence: Translate complex technical findings into actionable business insights for diverse audiences, from executive leadership to operational teams.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role at arenaflex, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders (leadership, peers, colleagues) and external partners (business community, clients, vendors) to develop strategies that meet organizational objectives within budget and timeline constraints.
- Proven experience developing and executing strategic initiatives that align with business goals and financial parameters.
- Demonstrated ability to identify operational challenges and recommend and implement effective solutions.
- Strong leadership experience driving cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from conception through completion.
- Excellent executive-level communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Experience managing client-facing programs and building lasting professional relationships.
- At least 2 years of involvement in financial decision-making within a corporate environment.
- Minimum 2 years of direct management experience, including supervisory responsibilities, indirect leadership, and cross-functional team coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes (both within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application:
- Master's degree or MBA in a relevant discipline.
- Advanced programming proficiency in languages such as SAS, SQL, C, Python, or similar.
- Experience with enterprise systems including Masters, Vendavo, Vistaar, Salesforce.com, SharePoint, and collaborative platforms.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Salesforce Administrator or Developer certification is a significant plus.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing junior team members.
- Strong background in designing and executing financial models to support complex business initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience communicating with C-suite executives both internally and with client organizations.
- Project management expertise, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve specific project goals.
- Experience with systems such as Cure and GIS is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data extraction, data mining, data acquisition, data profiling, data warehousing management, and statistical analysis concepts.
