What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our store team, you'll be responsible for delivering the exceptional customer experience that sets arenaflex apart. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Customer Experience & Engagement



  • Welcome and Assist: Greet every customer with a warm smile, friendly eye contact, and genuine willingness to help. Go above and beyond to understand their needs and provide personalized assistance with our products and services.

  • Resolve Concerns: Act as a problem-solver by addressing customer issues, answering questions, and ensuring that every interaction leaves the customer feeling valued and satisfied. Your ability to listen empathetically and act decisively will turn challenges into opportunities for connection.

  • Share Best Practices: Model and promote outstanding customer service behaviors, including interpersonal habits and arenaflex service traits such as offering help proactively, identifying needs, and servicing customers until they are completely satisfied.

  • Build Relationships: Develop rapport with repeat customers by remembering their preferences and making them feel like valued members of the arenaflex family.

Sales & Register Operations



  • Process Transactions: Operate assigned cash registers with accuracy and efficiency, registering customer purchases, collecting payments, and distributing change as requested.

  • Handle Transactions Expertly: Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed while maintaining proper documentation and following company policies.

  • Drive Sales: Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest companion or trade-up items that enhance their purchase. Use your product knowledge to create meaningful add-on sales that benefit both the customer and the store.

  • Upskill Opportunities: Develop expertise in our digital systems and become proficient in suggesting promotional photo products and services to enhance the customer experience.

Store Operations & Merchandising



  • Maintain Store Appearance: Keep counters and shelves clean, well-merchandised, and organized. Take regular inventory and maintain accurate records to ensure product availability.

  • Product Management: Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager. Assist with stock rotation using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.

  • Display Excellence: Construct and maintain eye-catching displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions as directed to keep our store fresh and engaging.

  • Food Safety Compliance: Assist with proper separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies and procedures, ensuring raw and frozen meats are stored on bottom shelves.

  • Asset Protection: Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, including monitoring for shrinkage and adherence to security protocols.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, maintaining our reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.

Photo & Digital Services



  • Photo Area Expertise: Provide exceptional customer service in our photo area, including digital passport photo services, poster prints, and creative machine operations.

  • Suggestive Selling: Promote photo products and services to customers, helping them capture and preserve memories while driving store revenue.

  • Web Pick-Up Fulfillment: Assume responsibility for web pick-up duties, including monitoring orders in our Picture Care Plus system, filling orders efficiently, and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store.

Store Maintenance & Team Collaboration



  • Interior & Exterior Maintenance: Assist with maintaining the overall appearance of the store, ensuring clean, neat, and orderly conditions both inside and outside the building.

  • Team Player: Comply with all company policies and procedures while maintaining respectful, collaborative relationships with coworkers.

  • Special Assignments: Complete special assignments and other tasks as directed by management, contributing to the overall success of the store operations.

What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico where Spanish proficiency may be beneficial)
  • Schedule Flexibility: Requires willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekend hours. Our stores operate seven days a week, and we need team members who can adapt to varying shifts.
  • Availability: Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including peak hours, holidays, and weekends, to ensure optimal coverage and customer service.

What We'd Love: Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out and excel in this role:



  • Retail Experience: Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment, ideally in a customer-facing role where you developed cash handling and interpersonal skills.

  • Industry Background: Prior work experience in a pharmacy, grocery, or convenience retail setting is highly valued and will help you transition smoothly into the arenaflex environment.

  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with over-the-counter medications, health and wellness products, or consumable goods is a plus but can be developed through our comprehensive training program.

  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable learning and working with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and digital photo processing equipment.
