Position Overview: Customer Experience Specialist

As a Customer Experience Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how our customers feel when they leave our stores. You may be the first, last, and sometimes the only partner a customer interacts with during their shopping journey. You are an ambassador of our brand, and your positive attitude and excellent service skills will leave a lasting impression on every customer you meet.

Key Responsibilities

The pace can be intense, especially during evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons. There will be times when you need to juggle multiple tasks in a short amount of time while assisting customers – checking items, determining prices, bagging groceries correctly, counting cash back, and keeping your area clean and organized. It takes a special person who is positive, can multitask effectively, and has a genuine passion for customer service and helping others.

Cashier Duties:



  • Greet and Engage: Smile, welcome, and thank customers with an upbeat and positive attitude throughout your entire shift

  • Efficient Checkout: Represent extended periods of time while checking out customers quickly and accurately, ensuring every transaction is processed correctly

  • Area Maintenance: Keep your workstation clean, organized, and presentable at all times to provide a professional shopping environment

  • Customer Support: Answer customer questions and assist them with their needs, providing knowledgeable and friendly guidance

  • Team Collaboration: Be available to support partners across the store as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

  • Problem Resolution: Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently, escalating issues when necessary to ensure complete satisfaction

Stock and Janitorial Duties:



  • First and Last Impression: Ensure customers have an excellent first and last impression of our store environment

  • Merchandise Handling: Build and organize merchandise displays from the parking area to inside the store

  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment safely to move merchandise from the parking area to inside the store

  • Cleaning Duties: Clean restrooms, salesfloor, and parking garage areas as needed to maintain a pristine environment

  • All-Weather Commitment: Maintain a positive attitude in all weather conditions, understanding that our customers shop regardless of the weather outside

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members
  • Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions associated with cashier duties
  • Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • attitude: Positive mindset, enthusiasm for helping others, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience: Prior experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality is a plus, though we welcome eager learners with no prior experience
  • Cash Handling: Basic math skills and experience with cash handling or point-of-sale systems
  • Multitasking: Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work well with others and support team goals
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to resolve customer issues professionally
