Position Overview: IT Business Analyst – IT Facilities

As an IT Business Analyst specializing in IT Facilities Management, you will provide expert IT administration, project management, and operational support to ensure the functional sustainability of the critical infrastructure that supports our airport communication spaces for arenaflex's IT Facilities Group. This role is essential to maintaining our operational excellence and ensuring uninterrupted service across all our facilities.

You will be responsible for overseeing the management of site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, accompanying, maintenance strategies, and break/fix services for critical data center infrastructure, IT certification labs, and remote communication room critical environment equipment. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting our client application and engineering teams with workstations, hardware, and access to test their applications.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be entrusted with a comprehensive set of responsibilities that are vital to our operational success:


  • IT Administration and Support: Provide expert IT administration of professional services, project management, and support to ensure the functional sustainability of critical infrastructure supporting airport communication spaces for arenaflex's IT Facilities Group.

  • Site Implementation Management: Oversee all site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, maintenance strategies, and break/fix services for data center critical infrastructure, IT certification labs, and remote communication room critical climate equipment.

  • IT Lab Support: Provide IT support for labs to align our client application and engineering teams with workstations, hardware, and access to test their applications effectively.

  • Remote Coordination: Coordinate remotely with professional services responsible for critical infrastructure support and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms.

  • Infrastructure Management: Manage, operate, maintain, and monitor all critical facilities infrastructure for data center and remote communication room equipment.

  • Standards Development: Develop data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure.

  • Network Integrity: Support IT Facilities grounds fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the airport and campus facilities underground fiber ring.

  • Policy Implementation: Recommend and implement departmental policies, guidelines, regulations, and procedures while ensuring compliance with all governing corporate standards and guidelines.

  • Project Management: Manage projects for data center and remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements.

  • Vendor Management: Select IT and critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, securing best prices for products and services, and ensuring that vendors meet their contractual obligations.

  • Space and Power Management: Manage space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity effectively.

  • Capital Forecasting: Perform capital forecasting and project management for airport critical equipment lifecycle replacement.

  • Corporate Real Estate Support: Support Corporate Real Estate projects that involve remote communication room design/work as an IT Facilities representative and on-site assessment reporting.

  • Electrical and Climate Systems: Manage the design, implementation, and vendor support of appropriate electrical power, A/C, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling programs for communication rooms.

  • Support Services: Provide proactive and break-fix support for alarm/ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment.

  • Operational Sustainability: Ensure operational sustainability of airport critical climate infrastructure.

  • Standards Creation: Create Design Standards for Remote Communication Room Space, UPS, air conditioning, generators, and Fire Life and Safety (FLS) systems.

  • Incident Management: Provide remote incident management resolution for airport critical equipment.

  • Installation Support: Provide remote installation, configuration, and operational assistance.

  • Change Control: Maintain strict adherence to change control activities.

  • Priority Management: Balance multiple priorities within established time limitations.

  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility to support operations with changing shifts, extended hours, and emergency on-call requirements.

  • Documentation: Review and store maintenance records, ensuring inconsistencies are remediated.

  • Communication: Build and maintain effective communication and relationships with supervisory teams, vendors, and peers.

  • Safety Commitment: Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • In-depth knowledge of data center technology and critical facilities infrastructure

  • Project management experience with remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements

  • Capital forecasting and project management experience for airport critical equipment lifecycle replacement

  • Experience supporting Corporate Real Estate projects as an IT Facilities representative

  • Proficiency in space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management

  • Ability to select critical facilities services with accurate documentation and vendor management

  • Experience managing the design, implementation, and vendor support of electrical power, A/C, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling programs

  • Ability to provide proactive and break-fix support for alarm/ticket remediation

  • Capability to develop Design Standards for Remote Communication Room Space, UPS, air conditioning, generators, and Fire Life and Safety systems

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities within established time limitations

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, extended hours, and respond to emergency requirements

  • Dedication to maintaining safety and security standards

Preferred Qualifications

While the following qualifications are not required, they will give you a competitive edge:


  • Four-year degree or five or more years of relevant experience

  • Trade School Graduate with relevant technical background

  • IT Project Management Experience (minimum 2 years) within a high-availability communication room and/or data center operating environment

  • Experience with daily operational requirements and the operation of production systems and equipment

  • Industry certifications related to data center operations, facilities management, or project management
