COO Group Associate

The D. E. Shaw Group seeks a creative and analytical individual to join its COO Group. This role involves addressing strategic challenges, synthesizing data, and executing initiatives to support the firm's operations and growth.

Responsibilities

• Helping to solve some of the biggest strategic questions facing our firm
• Synthesize data from different sources to develop recommendations
• Help drive the execution of these initiatives
• Research and analyze complex issues
• Analyzing and proposing new office locations
• Helping to drive the firm’s generative AI strategy
• Shaping and helping execute the firm’s five-year strategic goals

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher in any academic field
• A record of professional achievement
• At least one year of comparable experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to take on challenging, high-impact projects
• Experience managing projects and processes across functions
